Tascam DR-40 Handheld 4-Track Recorder Sound Samples
www.dvestore.com Here we jump into the DVeStore Theatre to audition the Tascam DR-40 portable recorder with a variety of microphones. First the RODE NT2A large diaphragm condenser, 2nd, RODE NTG-1 shotgun, 3rd MXL 355 lav, 4th Sennheiser E835, and last the RODE NT2A once again, through a Mackie 1402 VLX mixer and into the Tascam via Line Level input. Chroma keyed with the new 99 ATEM 1M/E HD mixer switcher in real time. Camera A (Main front shot) Panasonic AF100 via SDI, Camera B Sony SR11 (Close-up) via HDMI. Recorded Mixer output via HDSDI to FFV Sidekick.

Prorbably one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time!,
I’m a musician that plays and gigs a lot. I have both the H4n and the Q3 (wish it was the HD) that I drag with me to all my gigs, practices, jams with friends, etc. It was a pain. In this case I can fit both the H4n and the Q3 into custom fitted pockets plus all the accessories. I have the remote (great purchase), a mic stand adapter-I recommend the one made by Edirol. They are hard to find but they are much better than the cheap $15 adapters.
In a nutshell this was a well thought out compact case that will hold your recorders, accessories, wires, batteries, memory cards, etc easily and gives you decent protection from accidental drops or the elements.
